American Revival Theater Company (ARTC) will hold an open casting call for the upcoming production of Eugene O’Neill’s “Beyond the Horizon”. For convenience, two dates have been set: Thursday, July 1st from 3pm-8pm and Wednesday, July 7th from 3pm-8pm. Auditions will take place at Community Television Network (CTN ch.5/2) Studios on 516 Congress St.
This is a non-union production.
This production marks an important first for Portland’s arts community: “Beyond the Horizon” will be produced as a motion picture “live to tape” television drama, directed in the Community Television Network (CTN ch.5/2) Studios on 516 Congress St.
The project is Eugene O’Neill’s first Pulitzer-prize winning drama, adapted as a television drama, to be aired on CTN (public access) late this fall of 2010. ARTC is a non-profit theater production company, which produces American prize-winning drama.
This project will unfold in two phases; the production of the studio motion-picture followed by an encore stage reading of the play. Simultaneous to the stage reading, the feature will be aired through CTN and online. It is ARTC’s goal to produce Americana (American award-winning theatrical art) and deliver it directly back to the public for free and on public access channels.
